quick weight loss
Rachel D asked:

I am trying to lose two dress sizes by the end of October. I stopped eating all meats, plus bread and pasta. No pop or junk food. I’m having a piece of fruit and glass of milk for breakfast, salad and water for lunch, and vegetable soup or whatever veggies my mom cooks with dinner for dinner. Does that sound like a good plan?
I know I should exercise, and I’m trying to get out and walk more, but I’m horrible at sticking with exercise programs.
Part of the reason I gave up meat is because I recently chose to become a vegetarian, so I won’t be adding meat to my diet.
I’m taking the One a Day Weight Smart vitamins, too.

Less fruit, more protein! Fruit is basically just sugar!

    Walk with your iPod!

I am doing the atkins diet. I lost 9 pounds the very first week. Now…. I have lost over 20 pounds. Meat all you want… watch what veggies you eat… no bread, no pasta…..

If your able to walk at least 30 minutes ,3 times a day , and just cut down at each meal to 1/2 of it that you put on your plate, you’ll be surprised how fast the weight can come off- Plus, whatever you eat , try to always leave at least a few bites of food on your plate-Drink lot’s of water, too- Good luck-Keep up w/ the fruits and veggies-

There is no such thing as a quick diet, but here are some suggestions. I must recommend special K protein water. Protein is proven to hold off hunger cravings. You NEED that protein. Skip out on RED meat!!! But pork and chicken are great lean low fat meats that are diet approved!! Green tea and broth based soups also hold out hunger. Remember low fat skim milk. Regular milk is like throwing that diet out the window. Take a pill of flax seed or psyllium husk each day or as directed. It will clean out you colon and increase your metabolism. A good diet and weight loss depends on a healthy colon. And water is a must!! Drinking distilled water, although it is gross, once a week will clean out those clogged arteries and cleanse you from the inside out in ways that regular tap cannot.

Much luck and hopes this helps you!

I don’t think you should eliminate chicken, it has protein and protein helps you lose weight.

As long as you have no allergies and aren’t vegan or vegetarian you should eat chicken and fish and at least some red meat.
Cutting out bread and pasta will help a lot. But there isn’t anything wrong with some whole wheat bread , you need grains too.

Some vegetable soups if you’re eating the canned ones are garbage. Make sure you check the ingredients.

And there’s nothing wrong with a lot of fruit as long as you have no allergies or other dietary restrictions.

Eliminating Soda/Pop, junk food and white bread and pastas is going to go a long way.
Also make sure you don’t eat late at night.

    This would be better:
    1) Fruit and glass of milk for breakfast, mid-morning snack (something with protein),salad and water for lunch is good, mid afternoon snack (maybe more fruit), get rid of the veg soup if it is canned (too much sodium) and have some meat (protein is important for weight loss) and your moms veggies for dinner.
    2) drink your water all day long (if you can drink a gallon, then do it)
    3) do some sort of exercise. If you don’t have the time to jog, go in your back yard or a track and do (4) 50 yard sprints.

There are well-documented reasons for all of what I said above but I won’t bore you with them. Fruit, protein, water and exercise is the key.

All of this will get your metabolism humming and the weight will come off very, very quickly- I promise!
