I really don’t think you’re going to lose a lot of weight without significant cardiovascular workouts. Weightlifting alone wont make you lose weight. I would consider rowing! It’s cardiovascular and you really use your arms!
You need very light weights but do lots of reps, don’t lift anything really heavy.
loll who said that when losing weight ur arms are going to get big and bulky?
Anyways u should use weight which u can easily do 20 times( 3 set) something like 5-10 pounds should be more then enough.
er girl if u dont eat a lot of food have a good diet like 1500cals a day and healthy food lift weights w/e u want lift for 30mins 2-3x a week and bike swim or run or sports for 3x a week also 30mins u wont get bulky unless u eat alot of food and lift intensly it’s impossible to get bulky without eating like a king
First, you will not be able to spot reduce weight or fat. It just comes off according to your body programing.
You are Good with wanting to do resistance training in addition to cardio. An alternating schedule of one day cardio one day resistance is best.
I highly recommend 2 programs for someone that has your goals. I like Turbo Jam (for variety, fun factor and fast pace)
I like Slim in 6 for a more traditional workout that has a good focus on total body conditioning.
Using an in home program like these is a lot more cost effective than going to a gym but it will educate you on form, process and get you results.
Do not worry about getting bulky. Use a weight or resistance band that lets you do about 12 -1 6 reps with the last 3 reps being hard to do. This builds a longer shapely muscle. for more muscle size look to fail at 6 – 8 reps.
In addition your body chemistry will determine how much bulk you have. Women really do not have enough testosterone to bulk up. It also takes a lot of work to get that way including supplements!

Dumbells work great. I would start off small like 3-5 lbs. For fat free toned arms concentrate on building the triceps(muscles in the back of the arms) twice a week to get definition. With your weights in hand and arms hanging down close to the sides, raise 7-10 lb. dumbbells behind the body as high as possible for 10 to 15 reps. Also another good one is bench presses, you don’t need a bench but you can just use a sturdy chair. Sit on the edge of the chair with your palms down at the edge of the chair. Put your legs together and feet out in front of you. Slowly lift your body off the chair and down wait a few seconds then lift yourself back up to the starting position. Do 10-15 reps. Three to four times a week. They are kind of like pushups. Hope this helps.
