Don&#039;t overdo the workout; you&#039;ll just wear yourself out.  1-2 hours on a bike per day is asking too much of your body for 6 weeks.  Do 30 minutes in the morning and 30 more in the evening.  Take a walk mid-day.

Do record your calorie intake (Fitday.com is a free tracking site!).  Start recording now so you can see your typical intake.  Since 1lb = 3500 calories, you will lose 1lb a week if you cut/burn 500 calories a day and 2lbs a week if you cut/burn 1000 calories a day.  DO NOT go below 1200-1300 calories or you wont have any energy to work out!

You do not need protein supplements.
