I have a huge event Monday night and while I am at a good, healthy weight and feel confident, I want to try a cleansing system to help with bloating and those couple of vanity pounds for the night. Should I buy one of those expensive cleansing systems from a grocery store, or use the natural laxative Senna? Which would work better and faster?

Eeks. I’d go for a body wrap instead…they can (temporarily) take off inches, and are a lot more pleasant than having the runs.
Take a laxative (small dose) the night before and a water pill in the morning.
Neither. You should see a trusted doctor and get tested for whatever ails you. Then, at his/her suggestion, you should follow a less rigorus assault on your system. Now if a laxative or a colon cleanser is suggested, then you can follow through. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? – Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah – Psalm 68:19. Peace, Love and God Bless.
I do recommend a colon cleanser. I have tried many of them and the one I recommend the most is from Dr. Schultze. You can go to his web site below at and go to the catalog section and purchase cleanser number 1. He recommends you start by taking 1 pill and increase each day until you have a complete bowel movement. I have taken many more pills at one time with no adverse side effects. For me, when I take 10 pills at one time (believe it!) and drink tons of water at night, the next morning I am cleaned out and feel AMAZING!
The key with any cleanser is to drink massive amounts of water, so that the cleanser can do its magic and try to eat lots of green leafy vegetables and whole foods. Stay away from red meat and fried and processed foods.
Also, if you are brave enough, you can try a colon hydrotherapy session. I do not know what city you live in, but most major cities have CH centers around. I placed a link for a good on in LA that I have been to. Again, you want to drink lots of water and eat green leafy veges along with this session. You can lose 3 to 5 pounds in your first session and you will feel clean and light after wards.
I hope this helps. Good luck.
