Okay, so i’ve already lost 25 pounds since april 1 when i started my diet. lately i have been slacking and havent been eating the way i should be. i want to start eating good again and my goal is to loose the most 10 pounds by the end of august before school starts back up. now i was wondering, which one would be a better way to exercise? would going for a bike ride burn more calories than going walking/jogging? or should i try other exercises and mix them up by alternating days?

Mix them up. Play sports. Have FUN!
Swimming, jogging/walking, and biking are the best.
Jogging would be better, unless you want to do a hard core cycling trip everyday.
Though, you could alternate to avoid getting too tired.
Depends on the speed/distance/intensity.
Jogging up a hill will burn more calories than biking up a hill.
Jogging/running faster will burn more calories than going slower.
A ten mile bike ride is about equal to 4 miles of running at an average pace.
Your best bet is to alternate the two.
i say both r good exersises………… and i would mix them up…. like do jogging 4 times a week and biking 3 times a week…. cause i think running would burn more caliores.
alternating is best as long as you are elevating your heart rate into the target Cardio burn zone for your age
you’d burn more calories by running as you use your whole body to do that where as biking just uses your legs. I’d do both exercises to lose weight but another great one is swimming..go hit the pool a couple days a week and swim some laps. If you do all 3 of these you will definitely see results by the time school rolls around.
Jogging would be better than bicycling as it burns more calories and plus you should try other exercises too as they help in burning fats from other parts of your body that neither jogging and bicycling can
mix cardio, areobics, flexibility excercises to strengthen different muscles.
try to alternate so your body doesnt become used to one thing.
riding a bike will help sculpt your calfs and thighs and butt better than running/walking. its also less pressure on your knees.
but running can help sculpt your arms if you carry weights (2, 3, 5 lbs etc.) and pump your arms.
also try doing some core training (crunches, v-ups, etc.)
I am an athlete so I am fairly fit and I have found that the best (and funnest) way to get in shape is playing. Shoot hoops, go swimming, play soccer, it is much more fun to do these activities then do pure exercise. I have actually been told by many doctors that I have a perfect BMI and am in great health. So you could do things for pure excersie but there is a greater chance you won’t stick with it.
running helps alot…… you cant just choose one exsercise you have to choose others…….like…..
1.) eating healthy (wich you did say you stopped doing but if you lost 25 pounds from eating healthy you can loose 10 more)
2.) lots of exsercise will be a boost for you….if you start to eat healthy and start to exsercise then you will loose punds quick.

jogging
jump rope
play your favorite sport for an hour.
all these things will be veary usefull and there is so much other healthy active ways to loose wait.
walking works great on me as well as gardening.
eventhough i managed to maintain my diet but still i watch my diet.
First of all, congrats on the 25 lbs already lost.
To me, a bike ride would burn more. But thats only because I would do it longer than I would jog. If you’re going to do either one for the same amount of time, Jogging would be best.
If you have a lot of time on your hands, I would bike ride, because its somtimes more enjoyable and you can go for longer.
Mixing the ‘workouts’ up would probably be best.
Playing sports for fun is a really good way to loose weight and have fun at the same time. Plus you will stick with it.
My top best workouts would be swimming, bike riding, i guess jogging, and dancing.
If you know how to dance, great, thats a great way to loose weight too. If you dont but want to, just as good. What I do is line dance. I used to only know the boot scootin boogie, so i just danced to that a few time every day.
Then just try to walk a lot. That might not do a lot, but it could help out plenty in the long run. Plus you’ll enjoy what you see more.
I hope this helps. Maybe having someone to exercise with would help. You could go walking in the morning with a friend(s) and catch up on the news and all that stuff, lots better then talkin on the phone. Good Luck!
